ACCESS ADVENTURE, Challenging the Limits of Disability, is a unique program with wheelchair accessible horsedrawn carriages led by John Muir's great-grandson, Michael Muir. This growing grassroots organization is based at the 2,070 acre Rush Ranch owned by the Solano Land Trust, and works with the Muir Heritage Land Trust in Contra Costa County, serving the community of people with disabilities in the northern Bay Area. The Rush Ranch Open House, Saturday, April 28 is the season opening for Access Adventure. The program's calendar runs from the end of April through the end of October. Solano Audubon Society, Garage Grinders (lapidary exhibit), Wild Pig Roast, Horse Back Rides, Falconry, Working Draft Horse, Blacksmithing, and Sheep Dog demonstrations. Music will be provided by Vaca/Davis Chorale, Spinning Wheel, Snuffy Smith with square dancing by Twin City Steppers. Special entertainment will be a Armijo High School FFA "Cow Plop". There will be Native American activities and exhibits as well as Audubon Society, California Native Plant Society, NERR, Fish and Game, and Suisun Wildlife Center displays. Visit the Solano Land Trust display and tour the new Nature Center. Rush Ranch is located at 3521 Grizzly Island Rd. From I-80 take Highway 12 East, 3 ½ miles to Grizzly Island Rd., go south two miles
