Regular Programs for People with Disabilities

Late April through October, each year – Access Adventure offers programs of recreational carriage driving for individuals and groups of people living with mobility challenges, their caregivers, friends, family and supporters. We can accommodate up to six wheelchair riders at a time. Our Thornlea carriages have solar powered, battery operated wheelchair lifts that can handle up to 500 pounds. The lifts are also helpful to anyone with limited mobility. Our program is not limited to wheelchair users.

Access Adventure is based at the Solano Land Trust’s Rush Ranch on Grizzly Island Road off Highway 12 near Suisun City. We also work on Muir Heritage Land Trust properties in Contra Costa County. We can accommodate groups of up to twelve people at one time, and can handle up to fifty people giving rides in rotation. Most organized groups are booked on weekend dates. We can schedule week-day bookings for children and student groups, or others by special arrangement. Please contact our office to schedule your event.
