ACCESS ADVENTURE VOLUNTEER

Brianne Bradford

Hello, my name is Brianne Bradford, and I am 16 years old. I have always liked art, especially drawing black and white. Cooking and taking very long walks are other things that I really enjoy. I love animals, being around animals, and learning about them. Thus, I have many pets of my own. One day I hope to pursue my dream of becoming a veterinarian for large animals. I joined Access Adventure in July 2006, discovering the program when my local 4-H group was emailed information (my Mom is in charge of the club’s email).

Even though I am no longer in 4-H, I was interested in being a volunteer for Access Adventure. Through a 4-H internship, I gained experience working with Thoroughbred ex and future race horses. I had not been around horses for quite some time, and joining this program would make it possible for me to spend time learning and working with my favorite animal. As long as I can remember I have wanted to be around horses. Seldom having the opportunity to do that, joining Access Adventure would be a dream come true. I love helping out with all that happens and remembering how happy it makes the people that come for rides. It is a lot of fun learning to drive horses and learning information about them. Each time I learn something new. It is also great fun hanging out with the other volunteers, getting to know them better, and going to all the events that are held. Getting to know the horses better is a lot of fun too. They are so wonderful to be around, especially Cherry and Sadie who work with great alacrity.
