ACCESS ADVENTURE VOLUNTEER

Melissa Bradford

My name is Melissa Bradford. The reason I help out with Access Adventure is that I have always loved horses and I’ve always wanted to take care of them and ride them. When I figured out that Access Adventure was about driving horses, I knew I really wanted to do it because I never thought about driving horses, only taking care of and riding them. The two horses, Sadie and Cherry are the most adorable horses together as a team. They are Belgian mares.

The filly Fantasia (Fanny for short) is a one year old horse. She runs around in her pen and pigs out on the "all-you-can-eat buffet". She is a white horse with a funny attitude. The horse Andy is a short, fat English Shire. He has a good attitude and he always wants attention. He is the one horse I got to ride bareback. Riding him was a really great experience. Grooming all of the horses is really fun, reaching up and brushing every part of their body, combing their manes and tails, washing them, and braiding their tails. I really enjoy being with the horses and all of the people in Access Adventure!
