ACCESS ADVENTURE VOLUNTEER
Michael O'Shea
Doeth seem a bit odd to explain what I am doing here, however I shall endeavor to do so. To begin with,
I do not fancy myself as a horse lover, but I did, indeed marry one. Post Draft Horse Classic in 2005, I joined my bride’s
quest to learn to drive horse drawn carriages. As a gift, she presented me with a lesson at a ranch near Grass Valley and
thus begins this odyssey of association with Access Adventure. I must say working with those with disabilities brings
great reward. I am not adept with the ways of harnessing, driving and such, however I lend a hand in any way I can, what
with heading the horse, loading passengers, etc. I shall continue to assist in this wonderful volunteer venture, as the
rewards are beyond description. The horse that I ride, however will continue to be of the iron horse.
