ACCESS ADVENTURE VOLUNTEER
Pam Seifert
I am an architect in Contra Costa County. I rode a bit in my youth and have been involved with horses for much of the past twenty five years. My daughter and I have three wonderful Arab and Half-Arab mares with whom we ride dressage. The horses live with my husband and me and our dogs, cats and poultry. I have a couple disabilities stemming from a major stroke I experienced in 2003 and then the amputation of one of my legs two years later. I’ve gained a level of depth and empathy that I didn’t have before. It’s been a very humbling experience. The horses and all the animals helped enormously with my recoveries. I was fortunate to take part in a few Access Adventure outings and was eager to become more involved as a volunteer.
