ACCESS ADVENTURE VOLUNTEER
Tineke Jacobsen R.P.T.
Our connection with Access Adventure actually came through The Fazels and Xenophon Therapeutic Riding in Orinda where Tineke had been working as a physical therapist. She first heard of therapeutic equestrian programs at a Physical Therapy course she attended a few years ago and sought involvement in such a program locally.
Tineke's experience as a dressage rider has harmonized delightfully with the arrival of the Apollo (like Tineke, originally from Holland) and the desire to renew his dressage skills aiming for Michael’s return to riding at the upcoming Paralympics in 2010. Tineke in her role as a Physical Therapist and an Access Adventure committee are currently working to introduce a new service, Equine Facilitated Therapies, which will available in 2010.
